The room was very comfortable and while I had a window, it looked out onto a cement wall. But to be honest, I didn't care, it was natural light into the room. The room was modern and was well appointed. There was a diverse range of breakfast options and I appreciated the choice. I really liked the cook while you watched egg station. The staff were super friendly. I would like to shout out a than you to the housekeeping staff and the door staff for their more personal interction with me during my stay. That is not to say that the reception staff or restaurant staff were lacking, it just is I had a more personalised experience with the other staff. I never used the pool so can't comment. The hotel is situated in a big pedaestrian area which is closed off the traffic on weekends for families and events. I loved this aspect and brought a smile to my face to step out of the hotel and join families having and happy time together. For me this truly reflects Ho Chi Minh's vision of a Vietnam that is community focussed under the confucius foundations. Overall I enjoyed my stay at the hotel and would happily recommend to others and It will be on my list for the next time I come to Vietnam. Maybe 2026.

Location, service and comfort! This is what you need when travelling in this amazing city. Right in the heart of HCMC, walking distance to food, restaurants, Uncles statue, the Ben Thanh market, the Mekong, war memorial and pretty much everything you need this is an ideal location for a short or long stay. Wonderful service by the staff who predominantly speak English and host you with all you request you won’t be disappointed in the service. A big shout out to Thuan for his wonderful help. The restaurant breakfast is wonderful with a great spread of Vietnamese, Chinese and western food. We enjoyed the Pho and the omelettes with a variety of rices etc. The rooms are large and comfortable with some of the most rested sleep we have had on holiday. Overall an amazing experience and very much worth the stay for the comfort, location and service of the staff.

Royal Hotel Saigon was a great hotel to stay in! The location is excellent — in the heart of district 1 where many things are within walking distance / a short cab ride away, and surrounded by food & shopping hubs. The hotel lobby and rooms are very pretty and clean, the room size was decent, and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast had a good spread of western & asian cuisines, as well as fruit and dessert. My favourite was the porridge station, pho station and egg station. The service was excellent, the rooms were always made up well, the staff were nice and attentive to our needs, the doormen always opened the doors with a wide smile on their faces.

The Front Office Manager, Nguyen Thi Thuy My, and her colleagues was nothing but fabulous to us from the day we arrived up to the day of our departure from the hotel. When we arrive roads where closed due to 50th reunification anniversary and My went out of her way to fetch us so we arrive the hotel Safely. She’s an asset to the hotel. Definitely I recommend this hotel to anyone going to Vietnam. You’ll feel comfortable. Everyday they clean the room, refill water and coffee. Breakfast was limited though but if you like Vietnamese food you’ll love it. The location is near in everything you need. Everything is walkable. Front desk staff are accommodating.

Breakfast was included in our cost and was a lovely buffet (though would benefit from more variation from day to day) and terrific views of the area. Staff try to find answers to questions. The room was relatively fresh considering the hotel's age, as well as roomy and comfy. The boulevard outside is lovely and when we were there in early March there was an annual festival going on. We loved the atmosphere and the quality of music and dance. Nearby are some important monuments and a significant number of other key buildings including museums, markets and gardens. The surrounding location of this hotel somewhat avoided the worst of hazardous road-crossing.
